Mike’s years of experience in practicing and teaching martials arts is obvious with the way he does his firearms instruction. He remains patient and able to breakdown the mechanics of handling firearms to any student (beginner or experienced). I purchased my first firearm from Mike and have since taken his CCL classes. Look to Mike for classes if your goal is to become a more experienced, safer, and responsible gun owner!

I never had much experience with a fire arm before but after taking Mike’s CCL class I feel very well educated and more comfortable owning one.
With a strong background as a martial arts and self defense instructor for over 30 years he is very patient and teaches methodically so it’s very easy to understand the safety exercises and “what if” scenarios.

Not only did Mike help me with my CCW class, he, helped me with training skills and drills in the event I ever needed to use my weapon. If I am not able to use my weapon when I need it, it won’t help me. I really appreciated his realistic advice.
I would highly recommend Mike to anyone interested in using a firearm.

    SharpShooter!
My first time owning a gun and don’t know what to do with it. I found Mike on YouTube and made an appointment to get my Conceal & Carry Certificate. By the time we ended my first class I was very confident about myself on how to handle my gun safely. The drills he made me perform was added bonus. Practice is key. Thank you!

A gem for a first time firearm owner. Mike gave me the time and attention I needed as a new gun owner. He went above and beyond to teach me safety of operating a firearm.

We happened upon Mike when we inquired about handgun training at our local range. Wow — did we ever luck out when they recommended Mike!! We had no prior experience with handguns, and Mike was extremely patient in teaching us the safety rules, proper grip, troubleshooting, cleaning handguns as well as holster training. Mike is very thorough, meticulous and safe; he leaves no stone unturned in his instruction. So many things to know and master to become proficient in the use of handguns. You can see that Mike loves what he does and is very enthusiastic about all things self defense. It is truly a pleasure having Mike as our firearms instructor; he is simply the BEST!!!

It has been awhile since I’ve gone to the gun range so I decided to take a gun safety class while trying to relearn tactics. Mike is really patient with his instruction and his top priority is safety, safety, safety. Great instruction on proper technique and the class is engaging. If I did something that needed tweaking or correction, he is very matter of fact on correcting any issue yet, does it while encouraging you. I’m left handed with small hands so he helped me learn how to properly grip the gun and unload the magazines while ensuring its handled as safely and effectively as I can. I felt pretty confident, empowered and prepared after the class. Great class! Class and range time was great!

    Outstanding instructor.

Safety is always first with Mike.

One learns & improves because Mike’s style is to be explain, try, & gives positive feedback when doing well. Never criticizes mistakes, instead explains a better way of performing.

Mike is not only a master at defensive training but also a master instructor. It’s not him showing one how much he knows. Instead Mike wants his students to learn by words, examples, practice, and positive reinforcement.

Michael starts with the basics but knows it all. ALWAYS safety first. Learned 4 different gun types with him. Lessons were well planned and engaging the entire time. He corrects you but is encouraging. Took 8 lessons at least because I simply enjoyed coming back. Very encouraging style but always corrects me if I didn’t have optimal safety stance / hold or was missing a critical success element.
