If you have questions, Wayne has answers.

His knowledge of law and firearms combined was extremely valuable.

He was also very willing to answer any and all questions about firearms and possible situations.

    Would highly recommend.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Experience — Highly Recommend Mantis Defense LLC!

I recently completed my 8-hour Wear and Carry Renewal class with Mantis Defense LLC, and I can’t say enough good things about it. Wayne, my instructor, was absolutely phenomenal — professional, personable, and extremely knowledgeable. He made the entire experience engaging and enjoyable from start to finish.

The communication before and during the class was seamless, and Wayne took the time to answer every single question thoroughly. He offered excellent recommendations for additional training, extra classes, and even helpful general firearm information. You can tell he genuinely cares about his students’ understanding and safety.

The instruction was top-notch, the range portion was smooth and well-organized, and the class flew by thanks to Wayne’s clear teaching style and enthusiasm. I left feeling confident, informed, and ready — and I’m already planning to return for more advanced training.

If you’re looking for a professional, safe, and truly enjoyable training experience, I can’t recommend Mantis Defense LLC and Wayne highly enough. I’ve already referred several friends, and they’ll be signing up soon too.

Whether it’s your first class or a renewal, you won’t find better instruction or a more supportive environment anywhere else!

I just got done my renewal class for my Maryland Wear and Carry with Wayne and Ryan and it was a very informational class that got me up to date with everything new in Maryland when it comes to the laws of carrying a gun. I couldn’t recommend them both more if you are looking for instructors. They are both very knowledgeable and actually care about their students even after they leave the class.

First and foremost a strict proponent of safe protocols both on and off the range.

Wayne provided a through concise and easy to understand instruction on firearm operation, tactics , and situational awareness. Both he and Brian engender the confidence of all who have trained with them and I highly recommend their class. Very proud to give this review.

I feel like Wayne could train the military, or babysit your toddlers. He has a passion not just for arms, training, and defense… but a passion for philanthropy. His goal is to give you the skills to protect, and to ensure that those skills shall not be infringed. The Mantis crew are pros. They take complex content and break it down so any person can follow. They make the info interesting and put everything into perspective. I’ve personally left with a better outlook on the world around us, with a firm understanding of gun safety, gun control, gun tech, and gun laws, and a massive respect for their commitment. 5 stars. Room service could use improvement. No bacon…

Recently completed the CCW course led by Wayne and Ryan. Excellent Instructor, I totally enjoyed the attention to safety and training. Wayne has a way of getting his point across with a little humor sometimes to break up the long hours in the classroom. Much appreciated, looking forward to working with Mantis in the future.

Wayne was one-half of the teaching team for a W&C class I took with Mantis Defense this past weekend. I found Wayne very knowledgeable in both the law and in shooting skills. The classroom atmosphere, which Wayne lead, was friendly yet professional. I can absolutely recommend the W&C class taught by Wayne and Ryan of Mantis Defense.

I recently took the MD W & C course from Wayne and his associate Ryan. Wayne was extremely knowledgeable, very easy to understand and brought a calm but serious tone to our class. He was also very patient in going over some items several times to make sure the class understood the concepts presented. They are very organized and are wonderful communicators, before, during and after the class. I will be taking additional courses from Ryan and Wayne.

I gave 5 stars for all categories, as Wayne was excellent in each category. I was impressed with his knowledge and the experience he shared. He is surely skilled as an instructor, let alone with firearms. Wayne reiterated safety all through class. Wayne and Ryan were happy and willing to take extra time to answer one on one questions. I’m grateful I was able to take my CCW class, with Wayne as my instructor. I highly recommend attending any class he may offer.

Wayne is fantastic! I have recommended his training to many people since completing my CCW
training in July. Wayne’s vast knowledge and real world experience really made the class engaging. Wayne’s commitment to gun safety, gun ownership and practical training was immeasurable. I look forward to taking other classes from Wayne in the near future!

I recently completed Wayne’s Maryland CCW class. I have taken several handgun classes in the past. HIs class was highly informative and quite practical. I learned things I had not heard in previous classes and got many additional tips.
I am recommending Wayne to any of my friends that express interest in handgun classes.

Wayne and Ryan are the best! The level of knowledge is off the charts. I took my Maryland CCW class with them and you could not ask for better instructors. The time and attention to detail was incredible. I will be taking continued education classes with them for sure.
